The Best of 2010

It’s a New Year so the perfect time for a new addition to Paparella; our blog. Before we properly kick off 2011 we thought we’d look back at some of our favourite shoots of 2010.

  1. Renee & Michael got married at a stunning bush venue, Paper Bark Camp, in Jervis Bay, Australia. It was a simple, classy weekend overflowing with lots of laughter,  family and friends, many of whom (including me) slept onsite in amazing luxury tents.
  2. John & Amy B; are wonderful clients and very close friends of Paparella’s.  We were blessed with amazing sunny weather for their October wedding at the Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire. The best bit was I got to put my camera down and spend the last few hours on the dance floor with everyone!
  3. Chris & Alexandra chose The Royal Automobile Club’s picturesque Woodcote Park Clubhouse for their wedding reception after a lovely ceremony at their local church in Cobham. The day started early with the ladies in the hairdressers and ended with an amazing live band and everyone on the dance floor having a fantastic time!
  4. Richard & Sarah’s wedding was an intimate affair at the Glassboat in Bristol. It was a great wedding to photograph as I had photographed both their daughter’s weddings perviously and so felt very much a part of the celebrations!

  1. Even though the November morning we picked for Olivia& Eloise’s session turned out to be cold and drizzly, we still had loads of fun zooming around on scooters and spotting ducks along the canal in West London.
  2. The lovely Migdadi sisters came into town so it was the perfect opportunity to get some new pictures for their parents. Bonkers fun on a cold day in Ascot!
  3. I met Libby’s parents in 2006 when I photographed their wedding, so was very happy to hear from them again to capture Libby’s 1st Birthday. The little lady had a great afternoon and we took the opportunity to sneak in a few family shots too before bedtime.
  4. I returned to The Royal Automobile Club’s Woodcote Park Clubhouse for Catherine’s 50th Birthday dinner. Great evening, especially as her partner Bruce proposed during his speech! I look forward to seeing them again at the RAC in August this year to photograph their wedding!
  5. Little Imogen behaved fantastically for the camera on her first Paparella shoot. She was a natural!
  6. Paparella first photographed little Ida when she was a couple of months old and then she was almost 7 months. What a gorgeous little character!
  7. William and Annabelle’s Mum called us to capture the children as a surprise gift for her husbands 40th Birthday. We had a great time jumping on beds and running around the garden blowing bubbles. I get to be a kid too on days like that!
  8. Gracie has been photographed an number of times by Paparella, this was the first session with her new sister Lily.
  9. I have photographed my great friends Chloe & Pete and their gorgeous children Esmeralda and Gertie-Boo countless times (including when Boo was just a bump!). This shot is from a series in the summer at their home for Junior Magazine.
  10. Charlie was just a few weeks old when I first photographed him, and I hadn’t seen him since. So it was a lovely shock to be greeted by such a cheeky grown up little man!
  11. Lauren and Matthew’s parents were recommended Paparella by another client (which is always lovely to hear!). Lauren was certainly not camera shy and I’m sure is destined for a career on stage. Matthew was far more content  biting mums nose and dribbling lots!

  1. Laurus PR are great clients of mine and asked me to capture their “House of Laurus” event in Covent Garden showcasing a number of their clients including Melanie Porter, Little Me Organics, & Chantelle Lingerie. It was a fabulous day with journalists enjoying Cupcakes & Champagne, hand massages and a chance to get up close and personal with all kinds of goodies and chat to the Laurus girls.
  2. I spent a day at Kings Place in London shooting images for the Green & Fortune Cafe and the Rotunda Bar & Restaurant. We photographed everything from the the raw organic ingredients to the restaurant itself. Luckily part of my job means I get to sample great food sometimes and this was one of those!
  3. A new DestinationSkin clinic opened in Reading and Paparella took some images for their PR. I then stayed around to share some Champagne and beauty tips with the therapists and journalists and Angie Best, who popped by after a yoga class looking amazing!
  4. Whilst on a whistle stop trip to LA in the spring, I photographed Catch Boutique Owner & Stylist Natalie Howell (and dog Louis). Natalie is a wonderful lady who just loves making people feel great about themselves.
  5. Bootcamp. Turkey. Juice only. Madness!? Nope! A fantastic fun week with a personally inspiring man Mr Jason Vale “The JuiceMaster” Amazing venue up a mountain retreat to take pictures of people rebounding, being put through their paces during circuits and mountain hikes and drinking amazing freshly made juices.
